Author's Notes: This fic was written as a hallowe'en challenge for a Sherlock Holmes comm. I think that if you read it, you will understand why I was urged to cross-post it here. A little familiarisation with the new BBC production of Sherlock, and also some of the Arthur Conan Doyle canon are handy, but not essential. Please enjoy!
